Meet the team

Karen Weaving

I am the founder member of Petal Childhood Cancer Research (previously Ribble Valley & White Rose Ladies), longest serving volunteer committee member and secretary.

I am the contact for any information at my email: and my tel. no. 07967-815559.

Angela Stuttard

I have been Chairman since 2017 after I joined the committee in the summer of 2014, but have been fund raising for Petal (and formally Ribble Valley and White Rose Ladies), for several years. I absolutely love it and am always humbled at the generosity of our supporters.

Janet Hartley

I am the Treasurer and have held the position since 2011 after attending a Cancer Research Relay for Life event and being totally inspired and overwhelmed by this group of girls and their supporters.

My role is quite challenging sometimes due to the fantastic fundraising and I’m always amazed at people’s generosity.

I’m a Company Director of an Aerospace Engineering firm which keeps me on my toes but my ‘real’ job is my family. All grown up now but still one of my greatest achievements!!

Hannah Kibble

In September 2015 I was honoured to be asked to join the Petal committee after organising an open day at work for Staff and customers to raise money for Petal.

Fundraising has always been something I enjoy from undertaking things like the Blue Peter appeal at school to raising money to travel to Africa to work with orphaned children.

I was inspired by the enthusiasm and passion of my colleagues on the Petal committee have for this cause and hope to be a part of it for many years to come.

As far as other personal interests go, I enjoy working for my brother Matthew Kibble, (who is an Honorary Member of Petal), at Matthew Kibble Transport in the accounts department. When I’m not working I love the outdoors walking with my Border Collie Floss or mountain biking. When I do find the time to relax I play the Harp!

Kim Imeson

I joined the Petal committee in 2017 however I have been supporting Petal (previously Ribble Valley and White rose Ladies) for the past 6 years alongside my husband John and son Lewis who are part of Monty’s Pedigree Chums Relay for Life Team. I was over the moon when I was asked to join the committee and I am so looking forward to getting involved and working alongside the motivating women who currently make up the team.

Ann Jordan

I have been on the committee from the very early days of its formation as Ribble Valley Ladies Luncheon Club. It is a pleasure to work with our Founder Karen Weaving and the committee girls who never lose sight of the goal which is to raise money for research into preventing childhood cancers.

We have a family business called Dugdale Builders Merchants in Chatburn, near Clitheroe and Taps in Accrington where my husband and 2 sons work in the business. I own a media agency working out of Manchester and I live in Preston which is convenient for travelling to London on a regular basis for my work.

I was a High Sheriff of Lancashire in 2013-2014 and I am Chairman of the Blackburn Cathedral Board of Trustees and a Governor of QEGs School in Blackburn.

Sheila Ruddock

I am the most recent committee member of Petal committee having joined early in 2015.  I feel honoured to have been asked to join such a worth while cause. I was a volunteer in the Cancer Research UK shop for several years and supported many past Petal events also before joining the committee.
